I don't have news on our GhanaGirl. We're at a standstill. It's a heart wrenching standstill, so no more on that for now.
There are a few who have stood right beside us as we walked this road. One person in particular who stood with me at the orphanage, facing the possibility that we might be watching one of the children die. She didn't freak, she just said she wasn't going anywhere. I've stood by and watched children die before, it sends people with more "training" then her running. She didn't, because she's a mom, and that's all the training that was useful at that point. I had reached the end of my rope then. I reached the end of my rope again this week. I called my friend crying, and there she was. She's been there, she knows.
This morning, I pulled myself out of bed and went on with my mom jobs. I took the kids to their swim meet. When I got home, there were my lemons, made into lemonade. I burst into tears again. This time for a different reason. We don't drink anymore (because yet another of my relatives needs some love from AA and maybe NA too). So, I told my fellow Lucky Hill veteran that I would be drowning my sorrows in A LOT of chocolate. She was kind enough to add to my supply. AWESOME.
Then, as I'm eating my chocolate, more love from Utah.
This friend thought she was a slacker for not sending it sooner, but God knew just when I would need it the most. This time love came in the form of CTR rings and fry sauce. There was an awesome movie that we will all be enjoying on Monday for FHE. Gigantobaby is SURE that the baby that Jesus holding is him "when I was a baby!". It could be my little man, it could be. He carried you right to us, and He's going to bring our GhanaGirl too. He'll know when it's just the right time. Hopefully, that will be soon.
--FullPlateMom,
who sends you some chocolate covered love too.
A message to my family... I ASKED for that Book of Mormon. This is not an attempt at conversion. I've read parts of the Quran and the Torah. It's ok. I promise. This book is important to the people who brought our GhanaGirl to us. It's important that I know what it says, and that it finds a place in our home. The end.

I am here for you anytime! God knows you and he cares for you through your friends. We will help you through this! Now go and enjoy your chocolate. You are truly a special friend and mom.....have a wonderful weekend and know our thoughts and prayers are flowing your way. :)
That baby could be any of our beautiful children. I think Gigantobaby can keep on believing.
It was my pleasure. Your family is on our minds and in our prayers constantly. Our Luckyhill family is spread all over the country, but in Lilo's wise words "family means no one gets left behind. Or forgotten." Ohana! I wonder if that translates into Fante?
I don't always comment, but I follow your blog every day! We are with you in prayer. You are SO RIGHT about GhanaGirl coming home just when the time is right. You have such great faith! We are praying for you,
Breclyn
This post got me a little bit teary! I really shouldn't be surprised anymore, but isn't it just amazing how God provides just what you need, just when you need it?
They sell BOTTLED FRY SAUCE? As a former Utahn, I must find the source of this oh-so-bad-for-you-goodness.
BTW, not as a proselyting attempt or anything, but if you have questions about what you read or want a guide to follow, I have a blog about it. http://americantestament.blogspot.com
